Are you taking fish oil capsules?

Then you must read this because ‘ Farmed Salmon fish oil is Toxic’

Besides pesticides and antibiotics used in fish farming, the most significant source of toxic exposure is the dry pellet feed, which contains dioxins, PCBs and other toxic pollutants
PCB concentrations in farmed salmon are, on average, eight times higher than in wild salmon

Most people are aware of the health benefits of omega – 3 fish oil and that salmon is a great source. However you may be shocked to discover that farmed salmon can or is toxic. This is the grim reality revealed in Nicolas Daniel’s documentary “Fillet-Oh-Fish,”
includes exclusive footage from fish farms and factories across the globe.

In my clinic (and personally) I only prescribe fish oil that is guaranteed filtered of all toxins and is ‘clean’.

Filtered fish oil does cost more than the ‘cheaper ‘ farmed fish oil but that cost is more than worth it.

If you want – you can contact me and I can supply you with filtered and clean fish oli – both in concentrate liquid form or capsule.

Right to the sick bay at the Doctors office.

Junk food is a multibillion-dollar industry and a majority are following it.

A recent report from the CDC reveals nearly 90 percent of people surveyed did not eat adequate amounts of fruits and vegetables to support optimal health. I said the same thing in my book Daniels Diet back in 2012.

I have recently released my new book ‘Daniels Weight Loss Diet’ – to help and educate on how to eat healthy. People who follow my books advice have wonderful health and healing testimonies. Why – because what you do and don’t eat has huge ramifications on your health and energy.

If you enjoyed this post, I’d be very grateful if you’d help it spread by emailing it to a friend, or sharing it on Facebook. Thank you!

ARE You taking Statin medications – then you must read this…

  •  Anyone taking a statin drug to lower their cholesterol must take a CoQ10/ubiquinol supplement to protect their health, especially their heart health, as statins deplete your body of CoQ10
Taking a CoQ10/ubiquinol supplement helps protect your             mitochondrial membranes from oxidative damage, and has been shown to be helpful for a number of health conditions and chronic diseases rooted in mitochondrial dysfunction
  • There are different types of Q10 and some do not work very effectively – you must use the veslsorb version which helps the absorption of Q10 immensely.

Part B - Hormones – A Blessing or a Curse?

What is normal period pain?
Normal period pain manifests as a bit of cramping in your lower pelvis or back. It occurs during the first day or two of your period and improves with pain killer meds. It doesn’t interfere with your daily activities. Normal period pain is caused by the release of prostaglandins in your uterus and usually improves as you get older. This level is easily helped with the right natural treatment.
Level two or severe period pain (secondary dysmenorrhoea) is throbbing, burning, searing, or stabbing pain that lasts for many days and can even occur between periods. It doesn’t improve very much with pain killers, and it can get so bad you vomit and may need to miss school or work. This one you definitely need to listen to the warning signs and do something to change your situation.

How to overcome normal period pain naturally?

For treatment, many women rely on over-the-counter pain relievers to ease symptoms, and Doctors may even prescribe birth control pills. However both of these "solutions" carry risks of side effects while doing little to treat the underlying reasons why menstrual cramps occur.

The Good News is – ‘God has a counter balance’ to your symptom. In God’s creation he has provided everything we need for our health and well being. In natural food, along with supplements, we can find most things we need to help our symptoms. “…their fruit will be for food and their leaves for medicine.” (Ezekiel 47:12)

Herbal preparations are very effective as a natural alternative to ease menstrual cramps and other PMS symptoms.

Keep in mind that these herbs and foods are created by God and I am in awe of how the different ingredient found in nature is the very thing we need to rectify our specific health problems.

1. Chaste Tree
One of my favourite herbs is Chaste Tree (Vitex agnus-castus); this wonderful herb is traditionally used to ease menstrual problems, including premenstrual syndrome. It is so good it can even help women suffering from premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which is a more severe form of PMS.

2. Dong Quai (angelica polymorpha)
Dong quai is another herb that has stood the test of time and used for dysmenorrhoea, or painful menstruation. Dong quai I find is especially useful when combined with Chaste tree.

3. As an herbalist I have the luxury of being able to combine herbs in one supplement and I often include the herb Cramp Bark (Viburnum opulus). As the name suggests, it is helpful for relieving cramps, including muscle spasms and menstrual cramps.

4. Vitamin D Might Be Needed to Aid Menstrual Cramping/Pain
I recommend that the next time you visit a Dr, get your vitamin D (also B6, iron and ferritin) levels tested via a blood test.
During menstruation, your uterus contracts to expel its lining, a process that's triggered by hormone-like substances called prostaglandins.
Prostaglandins are associated with both pain and inflammation, and higher levels of these substances are linked to more severe menstrual cramps.
Vitamin D not only helps to decrease the production of prostaglandins, it also helps decrease the production of cytokines, which promote inflammation in your body. (1)

With the use of diet combined with the herbs and vitamins I mention you will create a powerful synergy inside your body and this will allow your body to heal itself naturally and safely.

5. Vitamins and minerals:
Making sure you're getting enough nutrients in your diet, specifically vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium and omega-3 fats

Case History
Nova, (22) is an ex-chocoholic (she ‘needed’ to eat chocolate every day) and a self-confessed carbohydrate craver. She also noticed an uncontrollable increase of cravings the week before and during her menstruation.

“This combination of supplements (Chromium, Magnesium, B12, B6, Iron and the herb Gymnema is the best kept secret in health care,” she said. “Everyone should know about it. I never thought I could stop the food cravings but after taking these supplements I no longer have cravings for any of them. Simply amazing.”

Menstrual Cravings

Women who suffer this type of craving will know what I mean. It’s a craving, around the time of menstruation, for certain foods (usually detrimental ones) like candy, sweets, chocolate, cheese, chips, crackers, etc. It’s often caused by a mineral deficiency within the individual and/or hypoglycemia. The deficiency creates the cravings to alert the body of the imbalance so that the missing source of energy can be replaced. This creates the cravings and the cause needs to be addressed i.e. mineral and vitamin deficiency.

Dietary changes can be very useful to relieve cramping and other PMS symptoms.
Your first choices in foods are the cruciferous vegetables.

Why - because God in His wisdom included a substance called DIM (diindolylmethane) in them. DIM is a natural phytochemical found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and Brussels sprouts. It has unique properties that allow it to modify the metabolism of estrogen, promoting optimal estrogen balance and supporting healthy progesterone and testosterone production. The severity of PMS symptoms in women has been linked to elevated estrogen, with symptoms becoming more severe as estrogen rises. (2) DIM exerts a balancing effect on hormones and may benefit conditions like PMS, which are associated with estrogen-progesterone imbalance.

In my clinic I often prescribe DIM in a supplement form to work with the herbs I mentioned previously and together they form a powerful help/treatment to female health problems. DIM supplements need to be prescribed with a consultation. I use salvia hormone tests to work out the exact formulas needed for the individual.

Additionally, Vitamin E has been found helpful in PMS symptoms and you get vitamin E from dark, leafy, green vegetables, raw nuts, and seeds.

Dietary changes:
  • Avoiding caffeine, alcohol, and carbonated drinks
  • Reducing your sugar intake
  • Heat: Using a hot water bottle on your lower abdomen or soaking in a warm bath may provide temporary relief of menstrual pain.

• You Do Not have to ‘put up’ with pain and discomfort and any adverse symptom is a warning sign to do something about it before it progresses to something worse.

• Take control back over your health. I recommend natural treatments as they are safer and without bad side effects. It’s never too late to do something about your symptoms and today can be your first step to keeping or restoring your natural hormone balance.

• Individuals who live a healthy lifestyle and follow a good eating plan have less if any hormone problems. I call this stewardship, which is taking the responsibility of looking after your body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

• Where modern medicine is concentrating on using oestrogen to treat many women issues – in fact it is a progesterone deficiency that is more common. Oestogen excess is detrimental to your health. Saliva hormone testing is something that I recommend all women to have. Contact me if you wish to have this done and I can arrange this easily for you, no matter where you may live, so distance is not a problem.

• The answer is to look at your symptoms and use the appropriate herbs, vitamins, minerals, diet and lifestyle changes.

Hormones – A Blessing or a Curse?

Part A Hormones

Every woman (you) are beautifully and wonderfully made: Psalm 139:13-14. For you formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well.
I relate this scripture to your Hormones because they too are wonderful and powerful – they are ‘the essence of a Woman’! Hormones are the very substances that make you what you are: Defining you’re…
            Women hood
            Self esteem
            Sex drive
            Mental acuity
            Falling in love
Your psyche is intimately connected to your hormones, to your cycle
Your physical – emotional and psychological state & quality of life is hinging on whether        your hormones are in a healthy state (balanced).

Exaggerating the importance of hormones to each human being is almost impossible. In my clinical opinion – the current state of a women’s health is mirrored in her hormone balance, menstrual cycle and the different health symptoms that go with it.

What are Hormones?
They are chemicals secreted by our endocrine (glandular) system. These secretions are like signals or messengers, which travel to and fro throughout our bodies; to tell us internally what to do and when to do it.

Literally our bodies are run by Hormones.

We are created by God to have a well functioning hormone network and this is a ‘blessing’, a wonderful thing.
However, dysfunctional hormones can make them seem like a ‘curse’ to some women.

At least half of reproductive-age women suffer from painful menstrual cramps that begin shortly before the start of menstrual flow and continue for several days. The problems come when the natural balance of your hormones change.

‘I feel like a nutcase, constantly stressed, anxious and unhappy’, ‘I have to take a day or two off work and lay down all day due to pain and suffering I get at my monthly time’, (Severe menstrual cramps are actually among the most common reasons for missed work and school days among young women).  ‘I don’t want to take pain killers but just have to’, ‘ I’m wanting to have kids and am worried I can’t because my hormones are stuffed up’, ‘ I get so sensitive and angry or teary every month, what can I do about it?’ are just some comments I get from female patients at my clinic.

Recently in my clinic a well educated lady in her 30’s (I will call her Kim) with 2 young children said that she ‘completely lost it’ at work and started yelling and abusing her work mates –‘ for no real reason’ – other than her period had just started’. The good news is that after following the treatments advice I am offering you – within 2 months Kim was a ‘New Women’ and very happy and no more hormonal outbursts.

This demonstrates the all-powerful effects that female hormonal conditions can have, leaving a women feeling totally out of control in her own body. It also demonstrates that you can fix the problem using natural therapies.

Keeping in mind that hormones are a ‘blessing’ and a gift from God then any adverse symptoms are warning signs that something is wrong. Rest assured there are answers to any problems you may have and my job and Ministry is to teach you and show you God’s answers and natural counterbalances to any symptoms you may have.  I will be doing this through a series of articles in this magazine. The Word of God says, “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). This teaching is to be at least in part an answer to this profound statement of God. From this scripture we can be certain that it is wise to increase our knowledge; especially knowledge that is from God and for the health and well being of our body (which is the temple of the Holy Spirit).

PMS (pre menstrual syndrome) and Period Pain:

 Do you suffer?
 Bad period pain?
Tender breasts
Food cravings
Mood swings
Anxiety or depression

You shouldn’t have to.

Ø   Period pain is very common so women tend to think it just goes with the territory of having a monthly cycle. However this is not the case as most ‘normal’ period discomfort/pain will disappear with the right diet and herbal supplements.  If it doesn’t disappear after 2-3 cycles, then it’s not normal period pain. It’s what I call level two period pains and might be a sign of an underlying medical condition like endometriosis.

Next addition I will conclude this topic (Part B) and discuss the miracle working herbs God has created to counterbalance hormonal problems and assist you to live a healthy and pain free life. I will explain the importance of diet and nutrition for helping keep a healthy hormone balance.

Congratulations - its day 11 of Daniels Diet

Good morning,

Congratulations! You have Done it.

Many will have lost weight; have increased energy and mental clarity, a decrease in body aches and pains, improved vision and improved texture of your skin. Others may have accomplished spiritual goals. It’s always good to write down anything accomplished and give thanks to God.
Please email to my clinic and give your testimony to encourage others, I will post it on my website (no names used). Also send in any recipe tips that you found helpful.

As you know the problem with most diets is that when you stop following them, you go back to old habits and before you know it, you have put most of the weight back on. Well not us - OK.

Now, i.e. after Daniels diet - You have broken the hold of coffee, bread, alcohol, sugar, chocy, chips, soft drinks/sodas etc. So why go back to any foods you crave or are addicted to; at least until you have beaten the cravings. What i mean by this is-  the food (what ever it is) that used to rule or control your choices no longer does and if in the future you choose to have a coffee or chocy, then your mind and spirit are in control and not being controlled, so wait until you have broken completely the addiction or habit.

For example i choose to have a coffee once a week in winter, read the paper and catch up on football news and i relax and enjoy it ( i never drink it in summer).

In the distant past if i allowed myself to drink coffee daily then i would start to crave it more and more = addiction cycle starting.
But now i am Free to choose occasionally something i want to have and that something is ' not choosing for me'  i.e. be triggering cravings. I am in control of my choices and not the other way around, is my point.

The Question is – What do I do from here?

It’s very important when coming off a partial fast to not go overboard with your eating. Your stomach has been eating healthy foods for ten days, and it’s starting to shrink. It is not wise to overload it now with previously banned foods. Today is a critical time in this diet. Your decision now will determine your future health and weight maintenance. Consider it carefully.
My goals as a health care practitioner, lifestyle coach, minister and author are to give every one, step by step instruction and answers to your individual situation. So that in a few short months you will have reached your goals of losing weight and having more energy and feeling very healthy. The end result being that you get into the ‘zone’ of living a lifestyle that ensures you don’t go back to where you used to be, but maintain your good weight and health. So this healthy lifestyle becomes the new normal for you, and you automatically choose to eat and shop the right way for you. Then you are truly ‘free’.
The next step is to keep the momentum going to reach your goals and I offer the following to help you achieve just that.

I can offer you 2 choices!

1. For those who are happy with the Daniels Diet results and just want to go on with a normal lifestyle ( meaning having Daniels plan as your foundation for long term lifestyle, but include some healthy other food types). My Moderation Diet that is easy to live by and allows for everyday food to be enjoyable. This is discussed in my second book Daniels Lifestyle Diet. You can purchase this on  Also i have vegan recipe book called Pure and Real Recipe Guide.

2. For those who want to lose more weight and overcome sugar/refined carbs cravings then I have the answer for you. I have written a new book - A 6 Week Low Carb Diet? A Real Weight Loss Diet. and

This diet plan is nearly the opposite of Daniels 10 day diet. The effect of doing these two diets in tandem is very powerful and has wonderful results. You should lose 2 Kg a week and continue your journey to success. I emphasize it is only a 6 week program and then I suggest you do Daniels diet again and then move to the Moderation diet (Daniels Diet Lifestyle).

You can simply follow my diet plan as found in the book or you have the choice of using my weight loss protocols that go with the diet. This consists of healthy Protein shakes and bars and herbs. If you want my personal support during these 6 weeks – email me at and I will offer you the protocol and tell you the costs etc.

*I do offer a weight loss package which takes you step by step from day 1 of Daniels diet through to the end of the 6 weeks on  the low carb diet and into the moderation diet so you are on a good lifestyle by the end of it and this way you should not put the weight back on or go back to bad eating habits. This plan includes 3 personal consultations plus all the supplements.

  • Long distance consultations work very well and i do them though Skype or internet and or phone and emails. As we speak i am consulting someone in Greece.
