How to Survive This Century

Hello

If you are not familiar with Psalm 91 - then i suggest you read it, as it is a Biblical strength for us & very appropriate as you will see when you read this blog. This blog is to empower you to live a long and healthy life ( not to sow anxiety about bugs).

There is a "Super Bug" that is manifesting world wide.

This bug is resistant to virtually all antibiotics, including the antibiotics used by doctors as a last-chance option. They can even transfer their invincibility to other bacteria. This “super bug” is constantly adapting, meaning it is capable of outsmarting even new antibiotics that come on the market. This type of super bug bug is found mostly in hospitals and nursing homes at the moment -  however- it is currently being found out in communities. It is known as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)

Some statistics i have seen rate it as killing more people than the AIDS virus.

Antibiotic-resistant disease is a very real and serious issue and one we should be aware of and put preventative measures into our lifestyle. Just last month alone (in my clinic)  i have had 3 people (one in early 20's and one in early 50's another 60's) who went into hospital for routine surgery and next minute find themselves literally fighting for there lives because they have picked up a antibiotic resistant 'bug'. ( They all survived after lots of treatments, both medically and herbal'y and prayer).

It is a Man-Made Plague/pestilence

Strangely enough the Antibiotic-resistant disease is a man-made pestilence, caused by overuse of antibiotics.

It is not merely a lack of hygiene or proper disinfection techniques that have brought these super bugs to the point of being so dangerous.
What the problem is - is that in modern times we over use antibiotics to the stage where it compromises our health. Even people who don't use them can get it with out knowing from our food.
Antibiotics are not only over-prescribed in modern medicine, they are also widely over-used in agriculture -- a fact that is grossly overlooked.
About 70 percent of antibiotic use in the United States is for agricultural purposes. Animals are often fed antibiotics at low doses for disease prevention and growth promotion, and those antibiotics are transferred to you via meat and even manure used for fertilizer.
So, the agriculture industry’s practice of using antibiotics, along with the overuse of antibiotics for medicine, is indeed a driving force behind the development of antibiotic resistance in a now wide variety of bacteria that cause human disease -- including MRSA.

God has a Protective Health Plan - but do we know it and follow it?

First everyone needs to take the issue of antibiotic use seriously. We all need to evaluate our own use of antibiotics, and avoid taking them -- or giving them to your children -- unless absolutely necessary. For a start antibiotics don't kill virus germs so why use them for colds and flu's (unless there are complications). In other words the less you take in the long term the better off you are.

You can also reduce your exposure to antibiotics by choosing organic meat and dairy products for your family, as these will be antibiotic-free.

Wisdom for Health:

1. Wash Your Hands

According to a Johns Hopkins study, the best way for patients to avoid such infections is for doctors and nurses to simply wash their hands before touching a patient.

At home use a mild soap like Dove or herbal soaps. Avoid all antibacterial soaps as they typically have a dangerous chemical called triclosan which can cause even more resistant bacteria. Antibacterial agents are not necessary for soap to work. The very fact that regular soap is a detergent will be more than adequate to sanitize your hands.

• In public places i always use a paper towel to open the door as a protection from germs that harbor on handles (yuk). Also place paper over the toilet seat before sitting.

Don’t overdo washing your hands,  if you wash them too frequently you can actually extract many of the protective oils in your skin.

2. Use Natural Disinfectants

Antibacterial house cleaners are also best avoided most of the time- I use vinegar and if i think an area need extra attention i will use a few drops of Tea Tree oil.

Keep a Strong Immune System.

1. Keep healthy - read my books ie. 'Daniels Diet' series.
2. Herbs - Echinacea, Andrographis, Olive leaf extract, Vitamin C
3. Get lots of Sleep and exercise
4. Probiotics ( good gut flora)
5. Eat lots of fresh Garlic. Pre antibiotic days - Dr's used garlic as an antibiotic.
6. Get a hair tissue analysis - to see what deficiencies and imbalances you may have.

 Faith/Prayer and Spiritual Protection.

“Psalm 91” takes a comprehensive look at the only place in the Bible where all of the protection promises are brought together into one collection.

Psalm 91

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;

blessings
Philip
