Daniels Diet - Day 6

Good morning

Welcome to Day 6. Don't hesitate to blog any questions you may have i will answer them personally.

But His (Jesus) answer was: “My grace is all you need, for My power is greatest when you are weak”. I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weakness, in order to feel the protection of Christ’s power over me.”   (2 Corinthians 12:9 GNB)

You are past the half way mark now, beneficial things are happening, whether you are aware of them or not. Take this opportunity to trust God to see you through any healing situation – whether physical, emotional or spiritual. Many people have testified that prayer not only made this diet easier but also made it a profoundly positive experience, so don’t hesitate to pray and rely on God for help.  If you’re feeling like you can’t keep going remember God’s Grace is sufficient for you.

My Day 6:
I notice that the less 'junk' food or sugar type foods you eat the less you desire them. that means the longer the Daniels diet goes on the easier it is to break the hold that these harmful foods have over you.
Also when you eat less your tummy shrinks and the less you need to feel full. this is great because your waist line shrinks. one male reader said that after doing this diet he could actually bend over and tie his boot lace's, where he never could before.
Its all positive - hallelujah
This morning i swept all the leaves out of the back garden and did a little gardening.

Had the lemon in water and veggie juice. stone fruit is next on the list.
Lunch is mixed salads again. i mostly just keep it simple and quick. i wrote the recipe guide to give choices for people who want to cook and experiment with foods.

fruit and walnuts only for afternoon.

Baked veggies and salad tonight

Soups – have them as one meal, at any time to fit into your 10 day diet plan.
Soups; Try making up a large pot of soup using the allowed ingredients, then freeze or refrigerate it to create quick meals.

Bread is often served with soups – however I personally never eat bread with soup. The reason being we are better off having less bread in our diet not more. Especially for weight loss and gluten free diets, so none at all on this 10 day plan. Of course the quality of bread does make a big difference and can be used after the 10 days.

Spinach Soup
This soup can be served chunky or pureed
Ingredients
2 bunches spinach, washed and heavy stems taken out
4 large potatoes
4 cups stock, vegetable or chicken
1 cup water
1 onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 lemon, juiced
Salt to taste
Cold pressed olive oil
Preparation Method
Brown the onion in oil in a saucepan. Peel and cut the potato into chunks, and add it to the onion and brown. Add stock and water and simmer gently until all is tender. Add the chopped spinach and season to taste. If you wish to puree the soup then now is the time.
Serve with vegetable salad if you want a larger meal..

have a great and blessed day

Philip
